As a whole, our society praises those who have the right answers, from students to game show winners, from gurus  to leaders. So having leaders invite others to contribute their views first, and being the last to speak, is not easy to do. However, it has at least two clear benefits for you as leader: first, your people feel heard, which builds rapport and increases ownership; second, you get to hear everyone else’s ideas before offering your own, giving yourself the opportunity to unlock valuable information that you would otherwise not have known about.
